Every month, Flower Circus inspires its audience with themed online shows featuring different designers. This time, Ahti Lyra captivated viewers with his stunning Christmas arrangements. Fresh from winning the World Championship in Singapore, Ahti returned to Tallinn with a gold medal, having competed against top talents like our own Stefan van Berlo.
Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is where Ahti hosted the show. This beautiful medieval town becomes especially magical during Christmas time. Before transforming his own shop for the holiday season, Ahti inspired viewers of the Flower Circus show with his Christmas designs.
Ahti demonstrated brilliantly that traditional Christmas flowers aren't always necessary for stunning holiday decorations. He used white chrysanthemums and spray roses, combining them with forest greens to turn each piece into a masterpiece.
For his opening design, Ahti recreated one of his works from Singapore. While the original piece featured 55! cow horns, he adapted this version to use just 3 horns to better fit the screen and time constraints.
What was great to see and hear was the elegance of how Ahti worked and step by step explained how he made the arrangements and made them come to life. He also brought sustainability and reuse to another level.
One of the other great ideas he showed was an arrangement with souvenirs he brought home from all his travels. Practical souvenirs like small vases. While making it (and later enjoying it), it is like going doing a trip on memory lane.
Looking at all the reactions and compliments from all the viewers, we can say the show was a big success. If you missed it or want to watch it again, head to our YouTube channel: Watch the show here
